Chris and Jacob here. It’s so nice of you to join us. Welcome to Mr. and Mr. | The Weekly Edit, our new publication here on Substack. You might be here for one or more reasons; you’ve seen us on TikTok or Instagram or maybe even YouTube. Or perhaps you are completely new to us and literally wondering who we are. Well, we cover that below so bare with.
So…we decided to have our Carrie Bradshaw moment and make a blog all about our life, seeing as it’s pretty interesting (well, we think so). Think of us are your gay best friends who are also in a couple, and join us weekly for all things lifestyle, travel, relationships careers, fashion, what we’re reading, what we’re watching, cooking, baking, question times, story times, advice, tips and tricks, confessionals and so much more.
Whether you’re reading us with that first cup of joe in the morning, on your lunch break during a busy day at work, or winding down in the evening with a glass of wine after a long day, we will be waiting for you.

Chris And Jacob Who?
Let us give you a quick introduction: we are Chris and Jacob, two guys who have been in a long-term relationship for five-plus years, and who now share it online. We are two professional actors who actually met on a West End show (Broadway for the UK) called Nine To Five. That’s right, like most gay couples, it was Dolly Parton that brought us together and yes - we did meet her.
Chris on the left is Scottish but was originally born in San Diego, California. Jacob on the right is from London, but his mum is Scottish and his dad is from the Caribbean island of Barbados. Together we make quite the pair, don’t ya think?
Shortly after the show finished we began dating and after travelling through Southeast Asia together, we made it official. Fast forward five years and so much has happened since then. Both of us remain on the same path and continue to build the life that we both want with each other (something our younger selves would never have believed).
Now situated between London and Los Angeles, we continue to build a community of people who share the same interests and passions as we do, and we hope you’ll join us too.
